Purpose
Our Mission
The mission of the SACSI is to work with the Sudanese American community to create optimal living environment to the society, and to maintain and develop the member's wellbeing to meet the challenge of living in the United States of America. Also developing among members an awareness and appreciation of the Sudanese culture. Moreover, reaching the American Community through social and recreation activities and sponsoring cultural and sport events.

To help the Sudanese American community to face the challenges and difficulties of adaptation to the new American life by providing assistance, training and continuing education to the members of SACSI to enable them to compete in job markets. Also, to build social and economic networks that helps to introduce members to the American community.

Our History
SACSII was established by Sudanese community leaders who recognized the urgent need for culturally competent services in Iowa. Starting with a small team of volunteers, we have grown into a full-service non-profit organization touching hundreds of lives each year.
